8:00 a.m. Holy Eucharist
Our 8:00 a.m. Sunday Service provides a quiet, reflective opportunity to greet a new week. There is no music at this service, and the language is traditional (“thee’s” and “thy’s”). Eucharist (the Lord’s Supper) is always served. As with all of our services, everyone is welcome at the table of the Lord. The service generally lasts a little under an hour.
10:00 a.m. Service
Worship at 10:00 a.m. is noted for the inclusion of beautiful music, courtesy of our gifted Minister of Music, David Tierney, and our two Choirs (adult and children). Most often we celebrate Holy Eucharist (the Lord’s Supper); however, generally once a month we celebrate Morning Prayer. Sermons are offered at each service, with a Children’s Homily (in lieu of a sermon) given during our Children Services. All those who are earnest seekers after God are invited to partake of Holy Communion. This service lasts approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes. We hope you will consider joining us following this service for a “Fellowship Hour” with coffee, tea and other refreshments in the Parish Hall.
Thursdays, 7:00 a.m.
For early-birds among us, a mid-week service on Thursdays is offered at 7:00 a.m. We gather in the chancel (where the choir generally sits) for a casual service of Holy Eucharist. This simple, spoken communion service lasts 30 minutes followed by coffee and conversation in the gathering space outside of the kitchen. This is a wonderful opportunity to begin the day and enjoy thoughtful, supportive conversation among friends.
During the months of July and August (and including the Sunday before Labor Day), we hold one service at 10 a.m. This service is similar to the 10 a.m. service described above. While there is music during this service, the choirs take a break during the summer months. Instead, we enjoy occasional special music provided by instrumentalists and soloists.
