The Outreach Committee of St. Paul’s coordinates fundraising and volunteer opportunities so that we might live into the command of our Lord to love others as God has loved us. Our goal is to provide engaging volunteer opportunities for all members of our community, from youth to seniors. Recent initiatives have included staffing and baking holiday pies for the Dedham Food Pantry and participating in our Diocesan B-Safe program which provides a summer camp opportunity for Boston youth. Fundraising efforts are targeted toward a range of local charities (the Dedham Youth Commission, Dedham Food Pantry, Society of St. Vincent de Paul), regional (Epiphany School) and international (HOPEH and the Heifer Project) organizations. Interested parishioners are warmly invited to attend committee meetings, which are held on the second Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall. Ideas and enthusiasm from new committee members are welcome!

Dedham Food Pantry
St. Paul’s has a longstanding relationship with the Dedham Food Pantry. Members of our parish take the lead on staffing the Food Pantry during the month of April, as well as volunteering the third Saturday of each month throughout the year. We collect food donations at our weekly services and support special fundraising efforts for the Pantry. It has become a yearly tradition to bake homemade pumpkin and apple pies for the pantry to distribute for Thanksgiving meals.

Dedham Youth Commission
The Dedham Youth Commission provides essential support to many young people facing financial, social or other challenges in our community. Our parish has been proud to financially support many of their programs such as the Jog for Jobs summer internship program. Parishioners also have opportunities to participate directly in Youth Commission programs such as College Bound.
Society of St. Vincent de Paul
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a Catholic aid society that provides a range of financial support to families and individuals in need. Local chapters of the society at St. Mary’s and St. Susanna’s churches actively serve residents of Dedham regardless of their faith tradition. Parishioners at St. Paul’s have provided support for this critical work through our Outreach budget and participation in the St. Vincent de Paul Friends of the Poor walk.
B-SAFE is a summer program of St. Stephen's Youth Programs that provides a safe, fun, academically enriching environment for more than 600 elementary and middle school students at six Episcopal church and school sites in Boston and Chelsea. B-SAFE also offers meaningful work experience for teens and young adults hired as counselors-in-training and staff.
St. Paul’s supports B-SAFE by providing a scheduled lunch (and volunteers) to the program.
The program receives support through the diocesan budget and through partnerships with 55 Episcopal churches that provide volunteers, lunches and field trips.
