From the time of the psalmist, music has been at the heart of worship when faithful communities gather.
The music program at St. Paul’s is recognized for its depth of repertoire and high standard of performance. Music at St. Paul’s encompasses a range of traditional and contemporary hymnody and choral and congregational music from Anglican, Continental, and American traditions. Traditional pieces include compositions from the earliest days of the Church of England. Choral works are often sung in other languages, including Latin, French, Russian and Hebrew. Each year, two “Major Music” Sundays are scheduled in which classical choral pieces are interwoven throughout the worship. The Commonwealth Brass Quartet often performs with our choir each year as part of our Christmas and Easter services.
